can i spray my front foglights pitch black?

   got some black spray paint, and i already tinted my rears - full on black, think i went ott tbh.
   anyways could i spray my front fogs pitch black? or should i leave them as is? as if i get pulled over i dont want a bollokcing for 2 things

   well as i understand, front foglights arn't needed by law, so if they're black just for asthetics, even if they have poor light, and look good it'd still be alright?
   
   basicly, can anyone just clarify that front fogs arn't needed by law, so im free to do as i wish to them?
