  1. #1
went and looked at a 2002 saxo vtr tonite has 60,195 miles on it...when i took it for a test drive it went up like 10mph then skipped to 15 mph so it kepp going up the speedo every 5 thought this was dodgey...

could the car be clocked or is this normal
  2. #2
clocking a car is turning the mileometer back to make it look like its done less miles than it has. nothing to do with the speedo
  3. #3
yea well it is a digital milometer...is this normal for a saxo speedo
  4. #4
yes mate its digital...nothing dodgey about that
  5. #5
so the way the speedo jumps up by 5 mph everytime is ok
  6. #6
what do you mean by jumps?
  7. #7
mine does it now and again, as if the needle is sticking, doesnt bother me much lol
  8. #8
yea it is as if the needle is sticking...it goes up through mph in 5s like 5,skips to 10 then skips to 15 and so on..doesnt just go up the mph smoothly

Try unplugging the battery for 1/2 an hour which will reset everything mate.

Mine does it sometimes, as steve said unplug the battery and reconnect it and it should spur into life. On cold days sometimes the clocks stop working completley on mine, really simple to fix tho
