Saxo Furio Remote Central Locking

  1. #1
    Hiya,

Wondered if anyone might know anything about this but ..... I have a 2000 (W) Saxo Citroen Furio 1.4i. It was registered in March 2000. Now as standard am I right to believe that they came with remote central locking?

The reason I ask is that when I brought it it came with a fob .... but doesn't work.

I have looked and looked in all the places that it says to on here and in Haynes manual etc for the Infra red receiver and cannot find it. I have looked between the headlining and roof skin to see if the cables have been tucked away where the receiver might have been removed because not working etc ... but I cant see anything.

Now ... I have reason to believe that the car was a demonstrator as I have the original invoice with it that shows it was sold to the first registered owner after 5 months it was registered as used with 3,500 miles on the clock by the dealer. Would it possibly have not had it fitted because it was a demonstrator? But doesn't explain why I have a fob in my hand.

    Many Thanks

    Tom

Just a thought. Is fob original one or maybe aftermarket one from a previously fitted alarm.

The previous owner of my 51 plate furio gave me a fob on the keys too and he said that all it needed was a new battery but to be honest i have never looked in to it. I didnt think they even came with remote central locking

Nah its definatly an original citroen one. Well ive got the original publicity brochure for this year of car, and I know that it is definatly the right one for the car and it says that remote central locking is standard. Says on here as here http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/equipm...t=8932&years=3
