still wont start

   can some one please give me some advice,
   my saxo wont start, its had a new ecu and crank shaft sensor put on, but it just turns over but wont start, the injectors have all been checked and there ok.

   you havent pushed the petrol cut off switch have you? lol the big red button in the top right hand side section of the engine bay?

   is it gettin fuel up to the rail an has it got a spark

   If you have fuel pressure and a spark then my next thought is are the injectors being opened by the ecu? Possibly an ecu fault? Open the ecu and check for moisture. Does the circuit board look or smell burnt?

   My Ecu went. Just wondering if they can be repaired?

   Quite a few Non Starters lately!
   
   If you have fuel and spark it should start, no reason at all why it won't.

   no every thing suggested here, has been checked and working fine, it will start when towed. but then dies when the revs fall.

   What about the immobiliser is that stopping the engine starting seeming as you have put a new ecu on

    Check alternator belt and distributor.

    there is no distributor on engine?? it runs if towed would it do this if it was immobliser?

    Maybe its time to get a merchanic to look at it mate, could be all kinds of problems really.

    Idle contriol valve may be closed up - no air no run.
    
    need idle air, a spark and a decent amount of fuel spray
    
    Take the plugs out after a few failed starts - - They shood be wet with smelly petrol. This means there is no spark. Immob, caoil pack, ECU

    You say you had a new ECU... was it unlocked?

    its been to a garage and they dont know either , they said they tried everything, and they would ring me back, once they have spoken to some one, ive towed the car back home now, yes ecu was unlocked had the whole kit with it . im giving up with the poxy thing ..

    I remember a mate had a similar problem with his 1999 Corsa, it had no merchanical faults but for some reason it would refuse to start randomly. The garage said it had somthing called "Ghost Electrics", this meaning can find no logical reason why its not working.
    
    How long has it not worked for now and was their any stange reasons that could explain why it stopped working?
    
    It might be worth looking on your local area section and seeing if there are any enthusiasts near by who know saxo's well as it might be the case of one loose wire or unclean part.

    got it 3 weeks ago and drove it for 2 days, and just started to play up, and now its just sitting there, thanks for the advice i will have a ring round, i even phoned the citreon main dealers in my area, im still waiting for them to phone back..
