1.1 fuel pump in vtr?

    The vtr broke down on the way home from work today, kept cutting out after running 15 seconds, then would only start again with a bump start. Think ive narrowed it down to fuel pump. Managed to throw a 1.1 pump in it just to get it home. Havent really driven it hard yet, just wondered if im likely to have fuel surges etc at high revs?

    it might not produce enough fuel pressure with it being from a 1.1 but ya never know lol

    i ran the same a stanard 1.1 fuel pump with my vtr lump in works same

    strange as the vtr pump is higher pressure

    The f.p.r (fuel pressure regulator) manages the amount it need, the pump just gets it to the rail and the f.p.r is at the fuel rail on engine that mean it wont matter what pump u get it wont make a difference 1.1 1.4 vtr vts unless the f.p.r was in the pump but highly unlikely hope this helps

    Use a 1.1 pump in my 16v conversion, just need to sort the FPR out
