What colour to do my VTS wheels?

  1. #1
    Hi Guys.

Would like your advice. My VTS wheels need refurbing and cleaning up as there is some lacquer peel and some severe curbing from a previous owner.

I like the standard silver, which doesn't have too much of a gloss look to it, but I am tempted my a high gloss, bright silver.

    or anthracite.

    or white!!

    What do you all think?

if anyone has any photos of these colour wheels on a posi blue I would love to see them to help me make up my mind :-)

    Gloss Black FTW!

Pink! Goes well with the blue

Leave them as they are! Not often you see them standard on a posi, and it looks best by far. Its a shame when standard VTS alloys have their standard colour painted over on posi's

yeah I kinda think silver would look good. But if they get painted, they would be more glossy than the original, unless someone can do the same alloy effect. Its no where near as glossy as a refurb.

    tks for the comments :-)

When I had a posi these were my inspiration. I would have done silver If you want to be different id do standard silver, look at all the posi blue's out there, its like its the law to wreck decent vts alloys into another colour! Silver is almost an original idea, looks fresh and clean.

thanks db_sax, that has sold it too me I reckon, a really clean pair of standards, although simple, is actually the best look. clean and simple.

ads85, you're right, white steelies for the winter, dont want to wreck my "S's"

Some things just look better kept standard i think, although a lot depends on colour of the car, i mean black vts's would probably look better on mine than silver whereas yours is the other way around and as you said you want it standard oem, can't get more standard than original can you?

I reckon even though it's standard, silver will look the best.

I'm thinking a real bright silver, but instead of the standard VTS Finish, gonig for a high gloss so it really shines Almost as silver as it can get before it goes white.

i would say gun metal gray as white is way to common and black has been done to death tbh ive also got a a posi blue vts and my wheels are black atm as thats the colour they were when i bought it but like yaself i couldnt decide what colour to do and im tempted to go with either gun metal gray or deep plum purple as havent seen any vts wheels done that colour on a posi blue vts was considering pink but ya gotta be brave enough to pull it off and im not sure im quite there yet lol
