Washer jets & temperature problem when idling.

   After not using my washer jets etc for quite a while (5-6 months),
   And after topping it up yesterday its not working the windowscreen wipers work fine but nothing comes out the jets.
   
   Also i have another problem.
   Whenever i drive the sax the temp stays at half way wherever i go.
   But as soon as i get in a traffic jam or whatever it starts to rise after 2minutes or so.
   For instances i was in a traffic jam on the A50 just before the temperature was fine soon as i stopped and waited for a few minutes the gauge was nearly at the top i've never seen the red light yet and really don't want to wait for it to happen, anyone know the problem?

   Just checked,
   And no don't think i can just the windowscreen wipers.

   Sounds like you have a knackered/blocked radiator or duff water pump. Id try a flush flirst and check it isnt leaking or airlocked.
   Also how have you managed to not use your washers for 6 months?!

   I'll have to flush it all out then,
   Can you buy anything to get blockages out or to help it?
   We live in England we don't need screen wash we have rain to thank for that, but now as its abit sunny i thought i might top it up.

   You can buy rad flushing stuff but if you havent suffered a head gasket failure, I'd just backflush it with a hosepipe. I'd remove the thermostat too then put the housing back together and flush the block too

   your screen wash motor might be fooked or it could be the stalk
