gear knob

   does anyone know how to take the gear knob off of the citroen saxo 1.1 as i have the gaiter and gear knob from a vtr and want to swap them over?

   I just twisted it a few times, it was that simple.
   
   I did have a hacksaw at the ready though.

   Put it in 4th, try and get the gear stick in between your legs and just give it a good pull. Dont hit yourself in the head though.

   if its the same as a 106, just twist it about quarter of a turn and it should pull straight off

   yeah but if i take it off will i be able to fit a vtr one back on? as if theyre a different fitting i have no gear knob!

   i was thinkin wtf when i got mine off, i've dun the same as you, mines fitted now, basically to make the vtr one fit, push hard and twist till it goes on, if it goes on to easy put sum tape on the gearstick, then push bak on hard!!

   cheers thanks alot, so ure 1.1 gearstick just pulled straight off, or did it turn off?

    it comes straight off. You just need to pull hard.

    yey i done it, it pulls like a skin off then a plastic bit underneath unscrews vtr one on now neway, so much nicer to drive with

    just pull like a bastard but it could hurt our head if you pull to hard and go wollop into the roof lol, might be a good idea to open the sun roof, thats what i did, the one of my mark 2 forte just pulled off coz it was just slipped over something on the stick
