gear linkage/ selector rod

    well when i go into reverse and got back in to 1st the selector rod pops of the ball joint thing on top of gear box (dont know name of it)

    doesnt do it all time just some times so dont want to realy have to buy a new one its just annoying so would a bit of tiger seal in between the ball and socket work or get to hot ??? or last resort drill and a pin any ideas

    Are you on about the nylon ball on the gear stick ?

    no the ball joint on the actual gear box

    heard of some people using cable ties to hold them in place but the only real solution is to replace it, if its the cost im sure you could get a used replacement that will do the job pretty cheap, i'd imagine tigerseal would stop it moving properly
