Fan not working!

  1. #1
    Hi guys,

    Basically my car nearly overheated.

Found put the fan wasn't kicking in. I checkedthefuse and it had blown. But when I replaced it I got the car back up to temp to see it kik in and the fuse blown again.

    Any1 have any ideas?

I was thinking maybethe motor was dud, but would that make the fuse blow again?

does the fan spin freely or is it sticking

Wire the fan to battery(temporarily)that`ll test the fan motor if it spins then you`ve probably got a faulty fan switch mate.

Hmmm. Ok, the fan moves when moved by hand. It's a little stiff and looks buckled aswel.

Noticed that my cold air feed pipe had been in contact with it, so thinking maybe the fan couldn't spin coz of this and the motor had burnt out, but wouldn't of thought that would of blown the fuse every time i put one in Or am I wrong?

I will try and wire it to the battery. See if that's makes it spin! Worth a shot!

    Cheers
