Quietening injectors?

   Hopefully what I thought was my tappets(yet after adjusting there is still some noise) may be my injectors as I hear they are loud on these cars and if I listen the noise is defo coming from behind the rocker cover as opposed to from it.
   
   My question is, is there a waay to quieten the injectors, preferably without sending them away for ultrasound cleaning but if thats the only option then so be it it, could i use some injector cleaner or take them out and clean them? Or if not are there any injectors from any other model cars that are a direct fit and quieter, that wont lose me any performance?

   lol, i might try some injector treatment tonight, only about a £10er so worth a try.

   To be honest if i remember right it don't do much good mate, could try replacing the Inlet Manifold, i think that's where it all happens but not 100% sure

   As for the inlet manifold, thats not where the injectors are though is it? the injectores are in front of the inlet mani on the fuel rail?

   I've heard it just doesn't do much about quietning it down mate, to be honest i'm not 100% sure, it was just a thought from a non mech minded guy lol

   ah i see, might be worth a try anyway as they piss me off lol, yeah the noise does sound to come from near there but i've heard its the injectors hich like i say are in front of the inlet mani attached to the fuel rail :/

   Injector cleaner will do fook all mine makes the same noise and has failed on emissions in the past, im just about to replace the injectors and get them cleaned by injectortune

   For the price of a second hand one is it worth reconditioning the mani and rail ?

    Yeah please do mate, mine are fine other than i think that might be the noise I was assuming was tappets...so if i can quieten it down that'll be brill

    Why would you wanna recondition these mate? And how to you mean recondition, as in just clean out?
    
    I think its more about the injectors being noisy :/

    I just thought it may be a good idea to take the mani off etc and check see if they are ok, but, as i said i'm not mechanically minded so i'll be waiting for Claki's reprot on the injectors lol

    I just had my injectors serviced by injectortune , they came back like new are now running at a flow of 165 they were running at 154 to 156 ! much smoother response , give James a shout at injectortune top bloke

    hello mate , i am running k&N induction and a full magnex system , so overall the car is abit more nosey ! to be honest my old injectors were getting on doing just over 100.000 thou , not sure as when you drive a car for so long you kind of get used to it , if i would of got in a bog standard vtr with no mileage i might noticed the difference ! , but overall the car now performs better i threw in a brand new coil pack too , i paid 46 pound for four injectors to be cleaned inc return post im happy with the results mate , my only advice is take a chance and get them cleaned up cheaper than buying a brand new set anyways

    Yeah its deffo something i'd go for if they weren't working correctly, but I seem to be getting an adequate feeling of power, i'm just wanting the injector noise to be a bit quieter as mine are a tad loud, i may take a punt once i've got some spare cash though, cheers for the infor mate

    hello mate , just pick up some used ones on here , the going rate is about 15 quid posted for the vtr injectors , post them off to injectortune and bobs your uncle hopefully your probs will be sorted
