Pre-Paint wipes..?

  1. #1
Before applying stickers and before painting i know its always important to get ridda grease/dirt/bla blaa.. So i was browsing various shops online and came across these sugar soap wipes:

    LINKY

Halfrauds also did a version, but i figured B&Q

Just wondering if these would do the job for pre paint cleaning, or if theyll cause the paint/primer to react oddly?

get halfords pre paint wipes, or buy some panel wipe from a paint/bodyshop supplier

I did look at halfords pre paint wipes but i didnt know whether to trust them it being halfords and all :\

    they are fine

Don't buy halfords pre paint wipes there shit. Just get a cheap bottle of methelated spirit and some kitchen roll or if you use alot you can get a 5ltr bottle of (bodyline) solvent based spirit wipe for £15 quid from your body shop supplier.

secondly, i never said they weren't shit, just they do the job, and are alot cheaper than buying panel wipe or meth spirits if you only need a small amount

Oh wow, i leave this thread for a bit and its gone crazy! Haha.

Well i literally only wanna spray a few things so im not really wanting to spend £15 on a bottle of whatever-it-is.. But also dont want to buy halfords crap.. Is there a good compromise or am i going to have to go for one or the other?

Just get a bottle of methylated spirits its like 3 quid for a litre from any diy shop and works way better than halfords wipes.
