    cheers yeh i took it off and rubbed it down. as it was bubbled and quite rust infested then spray primed coloured n laquered.

    didnt use heat resistant paint as i heard it wasnt needed? but if i do get any problems i can get some and redo it i suppose! hopefully not though!

    looks so much beter that mate,not sure bout that induction kit where it is tho,you chould look at getting an angled bit of silicone hosin to bring it forward and attach the cold air feed else its drwing in to much hot air and pointless.

    yeh it gets hot but not quite hot enough to melt it! maybe a few hours hossing along country roads or a long motorway journey could affect it. but just checked it now when i got back from work and its sweet as a large blue nut!

    yeh i was actually thinking the same recently! i may get a 90 degree bend and sit it more towards the front of the bay.

    you dont need heat risistant, ive got normal paint on mine, trip to fcs which was 3 hours driving did it no harm at all

    Piece of pee pee to take off, bit of a bar-stward to get back on as the washers underneath kept falling off as the way the seal is around the cover, it only just slots back in with a bit of force! easy enough though!

    yeh i always thought heat resistant was needed so didnt want to do it illuminant blue colour!! found out a couple of weeks back that it wasnt needed! so i went for it and mine has been fine had it on 2 days now n its still shining! :thumbup:

    looks good, the one on my rallye is a vxr blue, no need for heat resistant paint at all.

    funny how the silver top rockers rust yet my xsi one was a 91 engine with no rust on the rocker at all
