Mk1 1.0 East Coast Fuel Warning Light?

    Hey,

    I've got a '98 Mk1 1.0 Saxo, and I've got two minor problems.

    1. Looking at the dash, it seems to have a faint circle which is probably a fuel warning light I've never seen it come on though, even though I've run the car pretty low. Does the mk1 1.0 East Coast have a fuel warning light fitted? Or is mine faulty?

    2. The heated rear windscreen button doesn't illuminate at all, whether I turn the lights on, or push the button. Nothing seems to illuminate it or turn it on. Could this be a dash bulb, or could this be a problem with the switch or fuse? I can't exactly test it with this warm weather (no mist!).

Thanks a lot guys, much appreciated!

Iv got a 1999 eastcoast and my fuel warning light works fine, might be the bulb gone. With the rear windscreen button it sounds like the bulb has gone. Probably cheaper and easier to buy a new button off ebay.

Ah fantastic, thank you! I'll look into the rear windscreen button as soon as I can. I'm a little aprehensive with taking the dash out to look at the fuel light, but obviously I'll have to if it doesn't work. Would you happen to know where the needle normally is when the light comes on?

Thanks so much for the quick reply!

It is a fair bit of work for a bulb lol Tbh I wouldnt bother, just make sure you dont let it get to the bottom of the white block and you should be fine. Think the light usually comes on when it goes into that block.

to check your heated window, start your car and let it idle, press the button and look for any changes in the revs, if they go down a little then you just turned it on, and vice versa
