Standard cd player wiring - not yet solved!!

    Just had a std cd player delivered however there was an after market player fitted before so the wiring left doesnt fit. Ive got the wiring plugged in for the speakers but theres like 3 block slots, anyone got a clue on how to wire it in or where I can get the std blocks from??

    Apologies for poss wrong section, ive also posted in ICE.

    the saxo has two iso connectors it shud be a straight plug in, do u have a pic that i could have a look at for you.....?

    ill get a pic up in a bit, iv only got the one iso connector, i cant find were to buy the other one from!

    the car should have the two connectors if not u can buy and iso connecttor to bare ends, altho it can be a ballix to work out what wires do what unless u have a diagram.

    Here are the pics....I connected the grey block into the std unit in the middle block of the three, and there are these wires left.... 2 grey, 1 yellow, 1 very light blue???






    can anyone explain?

    basicaly,

    the previous owner has screwed the wiring loom lol

    safest bet is probably to get to a scrappy and get a new loom

    i know ar steve cheers....just wondering if I need one block or what? if i go to a scrappy I need to know what im looking for. the grey block was allready in there and I used that on my old mutant h/u

    by the looks of it mate the white block u have is the most important, that contains the speaker cables. the other block (in your case lots of wires with connectors, look to me to be the live, ignition live, earth,

    thats what im thinking mate, so depending on how there individually wired ill just buy a connector block and put the wires in

    ive got one of the haynes manual but obviously ill probaby get rapped for scannin it in lol

    the wiring block that is left intact is the speakers and the other wires are 2 power (thick grey wire is permanent live, thinner grey wire is switch live) light blue is illumination, yellow is earth. you can pick up a iso block connector for about 4 quid and its easy enough to wire up.

    so now iv got the iso connector i have blue, yellow, red, orange and black wires coming from the block. There are the 2 power (thick grey wire is permanent live, thinner grey wire is switch live) light blue is illumination, yellow is earth from the cars loom - which ones do i connect the iso wires to?? for example is blue to the blue illumination wire etc??
