Couple niggles.

Hi, Just acquired a vts and have a couple minor problems which are annoying me!

Firstly the center exhaust had some welding and since then the backbox knocks against part of the rear axal and also the bumper, I don't have a jack to get right under but there seems a lot of play when i wriggle the tailpipe! Could the rubbers be worn? and is it worth buying some of those stiffer powerflow ones?

And secondly 1 of the boot lifters is not attached because where it bolts to the body the bolt has come out and there is no way to screw it back in as the hole is for some reason way to big for the original bolt?? the body being double skinned means i cannot get behind to add a nut either! Any ideas?

Third and for now finally, The airbag light stays on all the time! Which after a google I'm led to belive the probable cause is a connector under the drivers seat?

    Thanks Carl.

the airbag light could be that mate but its worth puttin it on a computer to double check

the exhaust may have a broken rubber or bracket and as for it hittin the body it might just need realigned or worst case a new exhaust

Exhaust Problem: Try bending the exhaust around the rear axle or some new rubber rings.

Boot Lifters: If you could get a pic of the lifter section and the whole, Would be great so we can see the size difference.

Airbag Light: I had this for a while. Under the drivers seat is a wire coming into the floor. Push the connector back in correctly under the seat. This should solve it.

It looks like a previous owner cross threaded it so perhaps hammered it in and as it's worked loose with opening and shutting the boot its gradually made the hole bigger! Do you think some of that liquid metal stuff would be strong enough to hold it in place?

Would I need a threader to do that? Or could I force the bolt through to create 1?

yeah, ya will need to run a tap down it and see if it repairs the threads, it should do like

The other fix is to weld the ball connector in there.
