Oil Leak Problem (URGENT!!!)

  1. #1
    Hi Guys ,

I've recently aquired my mums old 2001 Citroen Saxo 1.1 Desire!
I have been after that car ever since i passed my test last year.
The car has 40,000 miles on the clock and i will be using it for commuting to work about 70 miles a day.

I have been working to get the car in working order but i have come across a problem that i cannot resolve.

Basically the car seems to have an oil leak coming from the left hand side in the middle(looking directly at the engine from the front).

At first i thought to start at the top and work my way down and i thought it may have been the rocker cover gasket so i changed this .
This did not resolve the problem so i changed the oil sump gasket aswell , this has still not solved the issue!

Please help as this is really getting to me now and i need the car for work!

    Thanks!

Could be a number of things going by those pictures there? Could be Head gasket failure if its on the left hand side of the block, If its running down on the right hand side its the cam shaft seals, If its underneath it could be sump gasket seal, if its central it could be rocker cover gasket if its down from central it could be dip stick seal. if its underneath to the right it could be gearbox oil, Wipe it all off were ever its coming from then it will soon come back and then track were its coming from.
