After a stressful day i finally knocked off and on the way home i get this TWAAAT (emphasis on Twat) coming right up my arse in a white chavtastic punto you know .. sponsored by halfords, ridiculous bodykit, lexarse lights and stupidly big spoiler.
Anyway he goes to take me finally then pulls up on my side and stares at me like he's in fast and furious or something suddenly he nearly drives into me because he's trying to act the hard man and staring at me and loses control so by this time i'd gone from stressful to don't give a fuck, dropped into 2nd got right up his arse and clipped his shoddy brap brap kit held on by tesco value bluetack. Kept on his arse for about 2 miles in second at 4.5k revs eventually i calmed down and left him to tip ex his paint back on.
I know i shouldn't of risen to it but he pissed me off that much more. Doll dossing cunt.

And now my car sounds rotten ..
Everytime i put the acceleration on (whatever rev, whatever gear) i get a squeek only for a second then it goes away until i lay off the acceleration then when i put it back on the squeek comes back,
Also my exhaust sounds clangy as anything, clamps?
    I don't know.

    Any input is appreciated.

sounds like a joint on the exhaust more than likely the front pipe to cat as there on the spring type joint as this is the one that can flex as you go on and off the throttle

    It's a Mk2 S mate with a straight through decat pipe.
Will it still have the spring joint?

yeah should do sometimes if the gasket wear it happen alot on 206 we either just take apart add some exhaust paste or replace gasket

Wicked, where would the gasket be and how would you change it etc?
  7. #7
if you look on the link the gasket will be between the join so undo the 2 10mm nut remove springs washers etc then pull the decat pipe back abit and should see the gasket then either reseal or replace

    Cheers man.
Would that be for the clanging or the squeek?

Also it squeeks when i go over speed bumps and pot holes if that helps.

ive had that same squeak, either put some copper slip on the bolts on the joint on the exhaust system, or add a couple of washers onto the bolts to tension the springs up.

Would say the same as Graham, and no its easy and cheap enough to change. Could well have been you putting a lot of pressure through the back of your exhaust for a period of time that may have slightly moved the gasquet causing you to get a sqeaky noise as the air blows through the new gaps formed.

And I would have done the same thing to be fair, ive got a subtle 1.1 saxo lowered etc and I always have dickheads like that pulling up besides me wanting to race in either halfords specials or standard shit boxes.

Its just jealously as these people want to proove to themselves and their mates that their car is better than yours by risking theres and your lifes. Total wankers to be fair!

the front gasket with the spring bolts on will squeek if they dont have the same amount of tension on them just nip them up till they feel about the same and this should cure the squeek, unsure of the clang, but it happens on mine too when i go over bumps
