ECU test plug/adapter to test sensors?

  1. #1
Does anyone know of any kind of test plug to go into the ECU, with some kind of multimeter/test contacts which the loom can then be inserted into? So you can test the sensor values?

Or have a pinout of the ECU so i can test sensors?

It would be for a single plug Magneti Marelli 1AP.41

    Cheers.

Hi, i dont think you can get test plug, it would be more expensive then the lexia diagnostics tester... You can get em for aprox 80£ posted...
It can read live data and error codes...

If you want pin out of ecu, give me your email... and i post ít too you...

You just told me exactly what i needed to know. I was under the impression i would have to pay a few grand to get a diagnostic setup for my car. Which obviously i wouldnt be doing.

A quick search for Lexia diagnostics came up with what i needed, Lexia 3.
I'm new to playing around with my saxo so i'm still figuring stuff out about it.

Thank you good sir for the info.

Actually you might know this. Does this lexia software allow me to re enable my Immobilizer?

I recently got an after market ECU which basically dissabled my IMMO. When i called them to see how i could get it enabled again they said i would have to send it back to them to "Virginize the ECU" then take it into the main dealer to program.

Why would they need to virginize it? I'm assuming they mean wipe it.

Take a look at this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexia-3-Ci...item3f0b099465

Something not right because like my saxo 1997 its not OBD11 every garage i`ve been too has tried plugging their scanner equipment into my obd port & it won`t communicate.I`ve been told its main dealer only that has the right equipment.obd1 & obd2 ports each have a different number of pins.Just so you don`t waste your cash mate.

Yeah Steve, that's pretty much the one i've been looking at. I've seen a few sellers on there with that one. I don't mind parting with the cash for that. It would probably be usefull for mates too.

You still think this one wouldn't work?

There's another guy on there selling them at £160. He reckons he uses them and sells them to the trade, when all car ones don't report the codes correctly on Pug/Citroen.

if you do buy one of the Lexia copies, make sure you get a 30 pin cable included as thats whats needed for all pre-OBD Saxos, ie,pre 2001

Yeah that's something I already looked at. It has all the leads there. But as it happent I already have one which goes 30 pin (large block type) to the OBDii (newer small D shape) I think that's it.

When I first bought the car years ago, the ABS light came on so I too it back to the dealer to check.

They ended up leaving the adapter lead plugged into the port when I got it back
