Important! : vts fitted new ulocked ecu , running rough help

    heyia , iv got a vts , it was running rough. this got worse until it wouldnt start. got it into a garage they said the ecu was knackard.

    what had happend, the person who had the car before had , had it chipped. and not resealed the ecu propley and it got damp.

    so i got a re com, unlocked ecu from lynx, fitted it the car started and ticked over well. but when you put your foot down black smoke comes out the back, feels down on power as well. i think its running rich tbh.

    i tuck the lamber out to clean it n it looked very coked up ,,this n the black smoke is what making me think the mix is wrong

    fault codes coming up are
    p0l327
    p055l
    pol70
    pol32
    po327

    its had a new ecu , new fuel pump, new crank sensor, and a new coil pack ..

    people have said it could be the ecu needs setting up for the car is this true,, because lynx who i got it off said it was a plug n play

    can someone help pleassssssssssssse

    You tried another unlocked ECU from a working Vts at all? I'd say that should be your next try

    i dnt no anyone else with a vts were i live mate ,,, i was thinking al it can be is the ecu ,,, coz its fixed all the other problems ,, and this problem wasnt there before

    iv been reading what some people have put on simlar posts and they recon injector rail is lose ,,, what you recon

    I'd be surprised if the injector rail being loose caused it.

    The fact that when you changed the Ecu to the lynx one and it at least idled suggests it's Ecu related

    well it was a non runner ,, and with the new ecu it now runs ,,, mmm what do you recon about gettin the ecu set up

    Quick question how do you know the Ecu is damp?

    My Ecu has packed up because of damp i think but cant see any obvious problems could you?

    well was not running ,, the car was dead ,,, deiced to send the ecu away for testing ,, opened the case up and water came out lol ,,quite abit of it , so got a re con ,, fitted it ,, started first time ,,,but running really rich

    Tried unplugging the battery for an hour to reset it?

    I think you'll have to ask Lynx about it. I've never heard about 'setting up' a standard Ecu other than mapping one or coding up the keys to match the Ecu immobiliser codes

    P0551 Power Steering Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance
    P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 1)
    P0123 Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit High Input
    P0327 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input (Bank I or Single Sensor)
    thats the meanings anyone got any ideas

    mines a 3 plug tho with it being a vts mate
