Rust in boot, drivers rear arch

    Hey guys, stripped the soundproofing antd whatnot out of the back the other day and noticed a rather fefty rust spot where the boot floor joins the rear drivers arch, is this common?

    just get it cut ould and a plate welded in ?

    Any advice appreciated

    I've got this in mine, and I've seen a few images online of rust in this place on a saxo, so it must be quite common! :O

    Yea plate it weld it and then. Underseal it

    ive got the same problem, how much would this cost at a garage? could i clean it up spray it????

    pretty common place to rust on saxo's as said best to get the rust cut out and new plate welded in then re-paint / underseal to protect it

    got it in mine, failed my mot! fuckin nightmare, take it to a gge and theyll do it for around £50, i got quoted for both sides £80.

    had this on mine ( together with a full page of rust holes) when i went for mot. cost me £80 for the lot to be welded

    Get it plate welded before it spreads & is unweldable which is what happened to mate`s saxo there was nothing left to weld too.

    just dun both archs on my mk1 sax and under seal the boot floor
