how much to lower my 1.1 forte and with which springs??

    Hi im a newbie to saxperience and a newie to saxos so would like abit of advice of how much to lower my saxo by and which springs to go with that are not rediculusly expensive. i live in an area with a fair few speed bumps and dont want my car to scrap i think i should go 45mm maximum but what do you guys think thanks jack

    I would say 40mm drop all round is a good compromise between looks and handling. It still completely changes the look of the car, but you will still be able to get over the speed bumps you mention.

    Spring wise I would say spax are my personal favourite, they feel stiff round the bends but still have a little give for bumps, uneven surfaces, potholes etc. You could get a decent set of 40mm spax for about 40 quid new. Also Apex are a good choice but much firmer. Depends what you're after really?

    Also, get the torsion bar lowered to match the proper way (Not notches). If its being done the correct way you will be able to decide the exact height you want the rear set to.
