Just drove down to the gym, sweated it out or an hour and drove back. 
When I first started up the car it sounded like the engine was ticking proper loud, so I popped the bonnet and revved it manually a bit but it seemed to die down over time..
On the way there there was a properly loud squeaking shrieking noise as I was going along at 50, like when your brake pads are too close.. I tried my brakes but that didn't make any difference to the noise so I figured it wasn't them. Anyways, came up to some roadworks and stopped for a red light. Pulled away after that and no noise..
I just put it down to the crappy knackered old V-reg golf infront of me, but it really did sound like it was coming from my car.. 
On the way back, leaving the gym car park I could hear a creaking noise, kinda sounded like something is hanging off the bottom like the exhaust or something and wobbling around.. So anyway, I was like "fuuuck
" and pulled over, had a gander under the car and couldn't see anything loose-lookin' or anything hanging off the car. Carried on driving and it was still making the noise if I dropped the clutch in too hard or if I accelerated and then took my foot off the petal and let the car judder (just doing this to see if it was still gonna make the noise).
Just a bit worried 'cause I'm broke as fuck and the car's 10 years and 120k miles old!
