i've changed my lights from lexus to smoked standards but the lexus lights didn't come with the frame like on standard lights, they are just the cluster of bulbs that fit into lexus lights (lexus have the built in frame). Atm my lights are just sat through the holes as i dont know how to secure them? Help?

#2Usually when you buy aftermarket rear lights, you literally just get the casing, i got smoked lexus (not at chav) and you clip in the bracket, i'd recommend ebay, or scrappies
-
#3Erm can't you switch the bulbs or do you miss a bulb holder?
-
#4Im guessing the holder. as i think lexus are a different format
-
#5These are shexyy http://www.raysmith.co.uk/citroen-sa...il-lights.html
-
#6Local scrapyard might be best for holders, cause ebay charges around 8 pounds each and new mint backlights are already around 18-19.
-
#7Ask some mates, if they want to swap the lexus lights and holder, for just the standard holder?
-
#8Can see that happening,Quote:Ask some mates, if they want to swap the lexus lights and holder, for just the standard holder?
why would someone break up a good set off standard lights to swap for some Lexarse lights that nobody wants or can sell???
just buy a bulb holder from a breakers/scrap yard, aint like its going to cost a fortune is it lol!

#10I have the holder that came with the standards, it doesnt fit the fitment that is in my car though...i cant explainnn!
-
#11You mean you can't fit it into the case? it slides in and then you need the push the wedged bit down till it clips :/
-
#12Nooooo, i cant connect the wirebox bit into the back of the holder? Its the exact same size so wont go in therefore i am using the cluster of bulbs :/
-
#13they can be tricky to get in, theres a trigger on one side of the plate well hold that and slide the plate in flat but put the other side a little lower. quite fiddly to do really
-
#15Ohhh myyy! Haha, you know on the back of the bulb holders, that the wires go into?
-
#16Make sure the bolt is going into the hole inside your boot?

#19Yess! Wireblock. Well that is the exact size of the socket on the bulb holder? So i dunno how to securely fit them?
-
#20FML! just bring it round charis, i will sort the lights out, jeeeez lol!
-
#21should just plug on ?????? lolQuote:Yess! Wireblock. Well that is the exact size of the socket on the bulb holder? So i dunno how to securely fit them?
ohhh i think i get what you mean now, the socket is exatly the same size as the wireblock? so you cant secure them together?
hmmm way around it then is to cut the plug off your other lights and plug off the light you want to attach and just wire them onto it -
#22Lol Gaz!
-
#23And there wasnt a plug on the lexus lights, they just had the cluster of bulbs on wires off the wirebox.

#25best bet then go scrappers get the plates from there as they have the propper plugs on to connect. put ur bulbs on that, slide that in ya light casing plug in and screw em on your car.
can you nip outside quick by any chance and get some pics on ya phone or something just to show what exactly you mean??? -
#27from the Shell of the car to the bit where your lights go there should be wires onto a little box/connector!
standards just connect into the connection point in the lights, now why would your Saxo be different from everyone elses, you had lexarse lights yeah but the cars connecton box should be still the same as its saxo fitted n there going on standard lights, like i said charis just bring it round lol!
knowing you you just probs aint pressed the little clips in on the side off the connectors
