Miles per gallon? cost per mile?

   How many miles to the gallon do you think a Citroen Saxo mischief does?
   
   This for claimimg petrol costs back. How much do you think it would work out per mile?

   basing fuel on 95p per litre...
   the consumption for a 1.0 on town and motorway (combined) driving is 45.6MPG
   
   which is 10miles per litre.
   
   so 9.5p per mile.
   
   
   Then you want to add depreciation (as the car has racked up some miles), approaches it service sooner etc.
   
   
   I think our company give 50p per mile for using your own car.

   I just notced when looking for the engine size in my papers that the MOT they gave me is a month too early!
   
   My last one ran out on 27th May 2006 and I had to get it done as quick as possible due to commitments around that time so I asked the guy at the council garage what was the earlist I could get it done without losing a month, he said 27th April. I booked it for then and it passed the MOT but I've just looked at this certificate and it says tested 27th April 2006 and runs out on 27th April 2007 have they made a mistake?
   
   I'll go crazy if I should have waited another day because I asked the guy to double check if the 27th April was ok

   Sorry I meant May 26th 2006 it was due to run out I had the test on April 27th 2006 and the new certificate says tested 27th April 2006 expires April 26th 2007

   No its not fine I have checked the info on the MOT site and they have issued the MOT a month too early. As long as you have the MOT done within a calendar month of the expry date of the last MOT then you get the 13 months. It was taken in on 27th April but was due to run out on 26th May that was within that time.
   
   Going to ring them first thing and see what they say. They could argue that the old certificate wasnt taken in at the time of testing but it was. Because its all computer now I'm not sure of they will correct this or not. I'm really angry about it
   
   When I had the MOT the computer was down and they couldnt issue a certificate but gave a duplicate one which I had to take back later to get the real one. I just did not nitice the dates at the time as I've been so busy
