Vts cutting out

   My saxo has just had a new battery, i started it fine drove with lights on for about 2 mile, waited 5 mins, when to start, strugglled to start asif battery was flat, but started, but now it wont tick over, and its idling rough at about 600 rpm and the battery is struggling still..

   i took out icv cleaned it and worked fine but then an hour later boom same problem but the icv is covered in black shit like the first time..

   Sometimes runs fine sometimes cuts out at junctions and sometimes ticks over just abit rough at lower revs that usual.. So im like proper confused any ideas...
