MK1 or MK2 Front?

   I'm looking to buy a Blue VTR, but I honestly can't make up my mind on what to go for - A Mk1 or a Mk2?
   
   The MK1 has a nice feel to the front. Although boxy, it's quite aggressive and serious looking.
   
   
   The MK2, even though it has a curvier 'newer' front, I can't help but to think it's a bit.. girly?
   
   
   What are your thoughts? Which one would you prefer?

   I think mk2 for euro and smooth style, mk1 for track and race looks etc

   I like the Mk1 more, starting to look a little retro imo too, although a tidy Mk2 can look very good also. Used to have a Mk1 and now have a Mk2

    If i could find a nice condition mk1 with fairly low miles, i'd more than likely have it over my mk2, just something about it!

    Just buy a newer mk2 (less miles less rust), and change the slam panel/wings/bonnet to a mk1, Then add morrettes, and WIN.

    Big help guys! Was surprised to see the amount of people who prefer the Mk1.
    
    I'll probably be picking up a Mk1 VTR. Could make the front a little better by fitting some chrome (normal look) angel eyes, and HID's in the lamps. Should make it look a little more moddern

    But then again as someone just stated, a Mk2 with smoked or even projector headlights would look quite sexy. AUGH I don't know which to get!!!

    Problem not solved, as a budget isn't really a problem. I'd happily save up a little more to get a decent one of my choice. It's making the choice that's the problem.

    EDIT - I would buy a mk2 in epic condition then change the panels if you want mk1. Cos you will have a low mileage (ish) epic condition mk1

    I don't know.. some shots the Mk1 looks dated and the Mk2 looks girly. In others, the Mk1 looks aggressive and the Mk2 looks modern and slick.
    
    Can anyone post images of their Mk2 front, possibly with smoked or projector lights? Just wondering how the front end can be improved to make it less girly..

    IMO i love the MK1 Because the mean look but they are generally rotten so if you can find a mint one hell yes to MK1
    
    I do like the MK2 equally just love the morrettes on the mk1 or standard lights

    mk2, just for the simple reason that a mk1 looks so much older IMO.
    its like comparing saxo's to 106's... 106's look so much more outdated and old, especially their interior dashboard.. however in my opinion mk2 saxo's still look current and smart

    Well that's what I'm currently having a dilema with. I'm either getting one of three:
    
    Posi Blue Mk1 VTR
    Posi Blue Mk2 VTR
    Wicked Red Mk2 VTR
    
    Augh, the choice! People keep posting great images and I can't make up my mind. Still, it's great to hear peoples opinions on the situation

    IMO, there is only one style to choose. MK1 posi - its so good, and if its in good nick, clean and shiny, beats a MK2 anyday. This is only my opinion though, I love Fishers MK2, but Wassy's MK1 is f***ing epic!
