major rattle please help:(

   i set f for work hit the gas and got a major rattling coming from the front drivers side (loud enough to drown out the decat zorst) and the power steering has stopped working i turned round and took other car just wanted to check if this is the pas pump or something worse

   My saxo doesn't rattle at all. Might have something to do with it's completely stripped, but the rattles your on about, is the shitty cheaply made plastics/door-cards/parcel shelf.
   
   OP, how do you expect we can give you a explanation off the information you have given us?
   
   Do what anybody else would do, get the car on axle stands, take the wheels off, and give EVERYTHING a check over.
   
   Could be anything from serious like a loose brake calliper or suspension component, or something simple like a loose arch liner.

   Vibration through the car? If so check engine mount bolt hasn't snapped.

   Check the suspension components like wishbone, drop links, track rod ends etc for 'play' and wear on the rubber gaiters. Mostly likely culprit will be the drop links however then generally produce a knocking clunking sound rather then a rattle but if its coming from the front then it might be this.
