Rear ARB removing

  1. #1
Had a look at my rear suspension yesterday because i want to lower my car so thought before i go buying springs for the front ill see how the rear is looking. i undid the bolt that attaches the ARB to the swing arm and it came of pretty easy, i tried to move the end plate out of the way but it wouldnt move, do i have to remove the same bolt on the other side to move this? Also ive seen people just move the ARB end plate out of the way instead of take it out completley when lowering is there an advantage to either one or is it just easier to move it out the way? thanks

they are splined together. if you take the rubber torx screw out the end plate, and screw an m10 bolt i think it will prise the arb end plate away from the rest of the arb. mayaswell remove the other 13mm, dont want to snap them. be carefull, those 13mm's are made of cheese. dont re use them or they WILL snap lol replace them with good bolts

Wind in the smaller of your shock bolts it does the job perfectly and is strong. you may have to loosen and re-tighten a few times but it will do it... its how I've always done mine anyway
