engine bay rust

   my cars showing a few signs of rust under the ecu and around that area, I was just wondering whats the best way to treat it as I want to try and stop it before it gets worse if possible.. cheers

   Cant stop it, if you want it gone for good needs cutting out and welding. For a temp fix you coul dtry K-Rust or similar - it does some sort of chemical reaction that relly slows it down or something like that.

   De-grease all the paintwork around the engine bay get all the muck off.Then sand/wire brush the rust off,treat it with KU-RUST think that`s the right name let that go off.Then hammerite over the top.I`ve got to do mine in front/under the large fuse box not looking forward to it as the metal looks very soft(plate welding time)

   Its only really surface rust as far as im aware, could I sand it off and repaint or is it not worth bothering? and thanks ill probably try that

   depends if your on about your ecu tray or the actual bay?
