Is it worth me getting a performance clutch ?

   Hi there people, my clutch is on its way out (or so i think it is), is worth me getting a performance clutch ? has any used one of these here ? (obviously must have). Or will a standard replacment clutch be fine, i.e. how much difference does a performance clutch make ? can you red-line it more etc ? i own a mk2 vtr, it seems like its missing and lagging when i put my foot down, got it checked out by someone who said its the clutch bearings, but rather change the whole thing. Cheerio lads.
