Failed Mot

   My car failed mot on emissions at the weekend and now it has ran out of mot so need to find problem and get to a garage asap the problem was the max emissions you can have was 300 and my car was 512 any body know why this is thanks

   What model is it and are you sure theres a cat on the car? some1 might of decatted it

   its a 1.4 westcoast 99 plate and yer there is a cat on it just dunno what to do as that is a high reading

   Cat fucked probs
   
   I had to run mine with 2 cats for last mot! One in manifold (STD) and one underneath because it had. Vtr engine in 1.1 shell though
   
   And as said try a load of red ex and make sure it's hot as can be when they test it! Thrash it there if you have to

   How old is the cat?
   
   Exhaust blowing?
   
   Try cleaning lambda sensors.

   i not sure on cat thinking new cat and new filter and new lambda sensor may help it a bit and is 512 bad or not to bad

    try cleaning/ replacing the lambda first, then move onto replacing the cat
