new engine wont start

   i have recently changed the engine in my saxo. but i am having problems with immobiliser and ecu. i have tryed new ones in and still no luck starting the car. i have been told to buy a unlocked ecu and that should start so i have orderd 1 but i am wantin to see if anyone here has any ideas if this doesnt work????

   you should be able to get the one in it unlocked , should start after

   i was told that i need to start the engine 1st to be able to unlock it

   im goin to try the unlocked 1 when it comes if not i dont have a clue lol

   Have you taken the old Immobiliser out?

   im guessing you didnt unlock ur own ecu before you removed the engine?

   did you get the ecu with the new engine? if you can get hold of the key that was used with the ecu, and put its chip in your key, this could sort the problem as the chip will match the ecu

   i managed to start it with the new unlocked 1 but now the spark plugs arnt sparking
