Newbie with a poorly vts

   Hi first post on here. Ive got a 2000 saxo vts, it wont rev past 4k it just dies it runs fine other than this problem I can get it to rev all the way if I press the throttle gently but soon as i put my foot to the floor it just dies. My engine management light is not on. Any idea's on what the problem could be?

   Thanks for the reply, if I unplug the icv should the engine cut out? as I try'd it before and it made no difference.

   If the EML is on then get it hooked up to diagnostic`s machine to read the fault codes,not every problem is down to the ICV.

   The EML is not on, the cars been on a diagnostic machine and no faults or error codes were found.

   Problem solved it was the fuel filter, put a new one on and its fine again.
