Power steering problems

    I have recently had problems with my power steering, it has now completely gone. I checked the fuses and they are all fine. Is it likely to be the pump, or hoses. Is there any way of checking the pump has gone. Also a few weeks ago my wife drove the car and she said that smoke was coming from the steering wheel box, now the horn does not work, could this be related.

    It may be a fuse problem, try tapping the power steering pump gently with a hammer a few times they can sometimes get seized up

    on your power steering loom there a silver/gray relay on it replace this. and for the smoke out the dash might be a earth to horn or wireing behind your dash not entierly sure sorry but had similar problem i just replaced the full left and right indicator, wiper stalk if your in doubt give me a shout 07543655037
