you dont need to change them you can still use the standard ones

Its recommended to get uprated rear dampers once you go lower than 40mm as the standards one will wear out very quick and the car will handle much better with better rear dampers

    As per above.

Ideally you should save the extra to get a full kit, however, its not essential. Upto 40mm is ok as a temp measure

Ive just bought some spax adjustables for £20 on here and have just fitted them, so its worth doing as its not expensive

Fair shout on the cheap bit, but if the OP is asking how much he can get away with, with regards to lowering springs he might be on a tight budget which is why i suggested them, surely it would be better than low springs on standard shocks that may still be standard shockers.

IMO if your thinking of lowering why bother doing it on the cheap and not replacing the dampers? If you do lower on standard dampers they will wear out quicker and handling won't be half as good as it would be with a set of B8s on the rear. Yes there expensive but you get what you pay for and in terms of price and performance.

That coil over kit is complete crap. They will bottom out and handle like shit they only real advantage of that kit is to be able to say you have coil overs. Search "raceland coil overs" in search and look at what everyone has said about them, don't think there is one good remark about them.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for...
