Hey,
I hope someone will be able to help me diagnose what is wrong with my car.
I have recently bought an old 1999 Citroen Saxo 1.1 East Coast for my first car and all was going fine until I noticed the car started to stall/engine cut out when coming to a stop.
The car runs fine and if I start the car up it idles fine, but sometimes when I am driving and I put the clutch down and the break to come to a stop, the engine cuts and the battery charge, engine oil pressure and coolant temperature lamps come on. I have also noticed that the engine autodiagnostic lamp turns on as well but then goes away.
It seems to occur more often if it is a hot day or the traffic is heavy (lots of stopping and starting).
I have also noticed that it seems to happen more often when parking, today it did it about 3 times when trying to park.
At first I thought it may be my driving style but I have got a couple of other people (that have been driving for years) to drive it about a bit, and the same thing happens.
I hope that someone will be able to give me some ideas of what is wrong.
Many thanks,
Daniel
