Quick, how to take out this black thing to remove carpet!!!!!!!

   As the title says, how do I remove the black gromnet from under the accellrater pedal, can anybody help as I have it ready to pull out the carpet but this is stopping me.
   
   All help will be appreciated.

   It unscrews. It can be a bit tight if it hasn't come off before but you should be able to twist it off by hand.
