    Alright lads and ladies.

Recently i bought a VTR as a project to keep me busy only paid £300.

I decided to get under the body today and see what's what,
Well god behave i came across this.

    And the hole

How bad are we talking here lads on a scale of 1 - fucked.
Gonna cost alot to weld? Is it even worth welding or should it just go the scrappy?

    Cheers

    Mike-

Id start having a play around it with a screw driver to see how bad it actually is.

Whilst your at it.....look under the ecu / fusebox and check the rear arches.

I`ve just had mine plate welded in that spot where you can see the 2 rubber bungs,it cost me £120.00.Looking at yours though the rust is far worse i`d be tempted to break it for parts.

Well it doesnt have an engine in atm, ive just resprayed the engine bay and it had a little rust nothing bad like, i do beleive theres a little rust spot on the drivers side rear arch, but nothing that cant be repaired.

If it helps, i only pushed/ prodded with my finger and thats what i was left with.

If i were to get it welded/do it my self, what would i need to do like? Surely id have to buy another metal base? ( Dont know what its called lol)

Was thinking about doing it like but needed some expert opinions on the situation that im in.

you would need to buy a new floor panel or a bit of sheet steal the same thickness and make your own, it would be cheaper to get someone to fix it but why do that when you can learn some ting new..

Alrighty, Dont happen to know where i'd be able to get a floor panel? Long shot i know, but you dont ask, you dont get
