Removeing ABS

  1. #1
    Hi there,

as title says, anybody know how to remove the ABS completely and just have the master cylinder and pipework? I'm sick of it!

I did do a search, but couldn't find a guide, if there is one, please post me it and I'll welcome the usual abuse for failing the search test!

    Kind regards

    Andy

I was also thinking about this mate, I've got hi spec 4 pots on my vts and I wanted to fit the 32mm master from the 306 gti6 to make them a bit more positive under braking,
From info I have gathered I think you just remove the abs pump and re run all new brake lines.
Which I can't be arsed to do at the moment lol!

Take the shafts out, Knock the ABS rings off, Re-fit the shafts, Take the dials out, Remove the ABS led, Re-fit dials, Done.

much easier just to pull the fuse
    though both ways are wrong.
To do it properly you need a four port mc from a 406, same size as gti6 item.
Remove mc pump and associatd pipe work, including all lines at front, then make new ones to run to the joins on the inner wing.
Rears are a bit easier if you can get hold of a hand held flare tool, if you can you only need to run new short lines to the new fitting on the bulk head.
Just make sure when you fit the pipes to the mc you have a front and rear at the rear outlet so as to build a diagonal brake safety feature in.
Then just remove all the pas bits
