#2ok I had a search and found the answer to the first question and I'm pretty confident I should be able to change the coolant now if I take my time with it but theres one thing that was worrying me when I fill the coolant back up and bleed the system what happens if I overfill it with coolant by accident because I see u need to use a "header tank" to help fill the system without air getting in, how would I drain the excess water without creating an air lock? cheers

#3if u know how much u need how are u going to over fill it?

#4its not really a "specific" amount as such... (well there is, but you WILL use more)
fill it, bleed it, and keep adding till the header is at the Full marker / keep a nipple open till it drops to the full marker.
dont forget its not just 100% coolant, some may need to be added to water.1 user thanked this post: -

#6Yeah I meant I knew roughly how much coolant I would need I didnt know how much coolant and water mix the car held thats why I was worried about over filling it. thanks

#7i went through 6 litres the other day on a 106 just buy a 5 litre bottle then once your diluted you will have 10 so enough for top ups or just to keep till next time.

#8I always service customers cars and run 50/50. I think the capacity is about 4 litres (by the time it's bled through)
