Passenger front wheel squeaking?

  1. #1
When I turn my car ever so slightly to the left, the front passenger wheel starts to squeak, it never does it in a straight line or when I turn right, only when I steer to the left a bit.
Any ideas what it could be/is?

    Cheers guys

Nope, only when I'm moving, it sounds something to do with the brakes, like that sorta squeaking noise.

mine used to do this before I had the wheel bearing changed coz ther was a slight bit of play in it and would make the disc sit very slightly at an angle when turning so it screeched on the pad, but also may just need something doing to the brakes

That's a good shout actually, I think my car's been handling a bit worse aswell when it's leaning in on the same wheel actually, I'll have a look when the weather clears up a bit, cheers!

    I'd go with wheel bearing,
But then again my nackered driveshaft used to squeek and squeal so might be worth checking that out to.

    Update:

It's squeaking quite a bit now, doesn't matter what way I'm turning etc :/
I think it's something to do with the breaks as when I gently press the pedal to have the pads lightly come in contact with the disk the squeaking completely stops?
    Any more ideas guys?
    Thanks a lot.

Mine does the exact same, sounds like the pads slightly hitting the disk when I'm driving, second I put my foot on the brake it stops...guessing its a wheel bearing, as that's what mine is I think! Check the rubber seal on the driveshaft make sure its all intact!

I had it quickly checked by a garage when they were doing my power steering, and they said it's not a wheel bearing as the wheel has no play in it, he said he'd have to get it in another time to have a proper look, but I'm too busy to leave my car for a day >_<

I have this same problem and it's just a sticky brake caliper.

    Any way to solve it?
It's pretty annoying and embarrassing as people can hear it outside, sounds like my car's broken haha
