That`s a difficult 1 mate because those little brass connectors are part of the demister. It used to be possible to buy a kit to put a demister on a rear screen. Those connectors are fragile & break very easy.2 options put a brick through the rear glass claim on the insurance & get a new rear screen complete with connectors, buy a used tailgate in the same colour.

Don`t know mate it`s a shame your so far away i`m in southampton as i`ve got a mint 1 sat in the garden at the moment. You could have had it for nothing needs to be removed from the tailgate as the tailgate has gone rusty.

Second-hand window will depend on how tight the scrappy is, but an estimated guess would be around the £30 mark.

Your insurance might cost from £50 up-to £150, but if you go that route, ONLY use Autoglass, Auto-Windscreens are the EX-RAC lot, and in my opinion and friends in the car business think they are a waste of space. You also won't lose your no-claims.

When I had mine replaced(some little pikey bricked it)insurance excess was £75.00 when I asked the price off the shelf for a new piece of glass I was told £300.00.
