sump/oil temp question

   Does a VTS sump fit a VTR block?
   
   Asking as I want an oil temp gauge, and the S sump has the boss in for an oil temp sensor already.
   
   Alternatively, whats the best way to plumb in an oil temp sensor? bearing in mind i will have a remote filter and an oil cooler
