Had my driveshaft fitted 3 weeks ago and its popped out last night, now when the garage fitted it on they said it was the wrong one but the guy fitting it spoke to his colleague and was told its universal and would slap in.. now ive been told by a mechanic today that you can't get universal driveshafts for a saxo? so is this a case of the garage made a huge mistake? cause im not planning to pay for it ive hardly been anywhere only to work and back!
Garages fault?

#2Ive never heard of "universal driveshafts" for saxos as far as I know its tapered or flat, sounds like they've put the wrong one in should'nt even have room to pop out must be off the wrong model or something
-
#3Sounds like a right bodge job mate, I wouldn't pay for it. I'd pay for a proper one being put in elsewhere though lol.

#4Take it back
-
#5Sounds like he's put one on without the supporting bracket?
-
#6Im taking it back tommorow and giving them a good arse kicking and if its worn away the teeth on the gearbox they can replace that as well, if they refuse trading standards will be told.

#10Just a quick update.. the cars sorted now, replaced driveshaft with the right one the other wasn't right and it was faulty the end of the shaft that links into the gearbox completely got snapped off and it was all twisted!
