#2So he fitted the new strut and hub and strut without checking it first?
Sounds to me like you need a new mechanic. And yes a new bearing should get rid of any play in the hub (if its fitted correctly). -
#3well i take it he didnt check it m8 if it failed again, are you sure that thats all i should need to fix it and get it past the mot? cheers

#4what that hell.. he should of just changed the bearing in the first place or got a good strut. would go somewhere else next time
-
#5how much would a new bearing cost m8 and how much would it be to get it fitted properly?
-
#6you can get a new bearing from about 15 quid all depends what quality you want if you're gonna get original citroen ones I think they are around 50quid + but the cheaper bearings are fine Ive had 2 new front ones on my car and they've been fine for over a year, so 15-20 for the bearing and whatever the garage charges for about an hour labour i guess, or if you can get the strut off yourself and take it to a garage with a new bearing they will probably only charge you about 5-10 quid for fitting it.
