#2Its hard to determin without hearing the noise but a check you could do yourself to elimiate if its the wheel bearing or not:
Jack the front of the car up, Holding the top and bottom of the wheel try and move it. if there is a excessive play then it will more than likely be the wheel bearing.
This is the bit i could be wrong on, if it make a noise when going right then its the left wheel bearing. (correct me if im wrong) -
#3Ye mate done that and there's no play only does it every now and then but goin down London in it next week so want it sorting before then

#4yeah making a whining noise going round left hand bends is the right wheel bearing and going round right hand bends is the left wheel bearing, when going round bends the outside wheel bearing is under the most strain as its the 'loaded' wheel. so yeah, so what ever hand bend you go round and it makes the noise, its the opposite side wheel bearing.

#5Ok cheers will get it sorted will it be alright for a while, what will it cause?

#6Check your driveshaft too. Mine whines and the bearings are sound
-
#7What's best way to check them
-
#8POP the bonnet and put your hand in and grab a driveshaft if there's play its on its way out.
-
#9Ok cheers il try that

#10This sounds more like a cv than anything. new driveshafts are relatively cheap, so no worries. check to make sure that the boots aren't split, if they are you will probably notice a lot of grease inside the wheel. change it before it gets much worse

#11Just had inner Cv boots done
