hi my car had no problems starting until i wired the amp and sub in and left music on why i went away and killed the battery off. after then i could start it through bump starting it . so i left it for a week now i go and try to bump start and its having none of it. when i turn key there is no sound whatsover, is it a case of me just getting the jump leads and giving car abit of a run?
wont start

#2Try that if still won't start properly test ur batt, altonator, coil pack, don't leave amps subs on mate if cars not running,as uve experienced drains batt big.time

#3Sounds stupid have you wired the remote wire to a permanent live like the battery or to the remote/switched ignition wire behind the headunit?
-
#4i think it is safe to say you will need a new battery.
this happened to me when i put remote cable on wrong wire at back of HU . -
#5no i left headunit on while car wasnt on lol. the car has had a new battery and alternator last year. ive got a battery charger now and its less than half way charged. that was after i got the jump leads hooked up for 20 mins lol. so must of been dead. may need a new battery as the way it got worse means it must not be holding charge?

#6Best off getting a new battery then see how it goes if it dies again then either the alternator is nackered or your something in your car is drawing a hell of a lot of power whilst the car is off. This is why I asked about how the amp is wired up because it may be this causing a drain on the battery.

#7yer mate i know what ya mean but the remote is wired to the remote in the back of my pioneer. so its not always on even though there is something buzzing at rear passenger side . very quiet buzz
-
#8Try taking the power off the amp see if you can still hear the buzzing if you cant then theres your problem if you can then just try and trace it taking the interior apart.

#9ok so i had put battery on charge over night . but in car and it started up fine. checked with multimeter and was reading 12V when off and 14v when car is started. so alternator is working so now just got to wait for tomorrow see if car will start .will test it first see what reading i get. see if my battery isnt holding a charge
-
#10sounds like your battery isnt holding charge or you have a drain i.e a lead to your sub is staying live turn car off and shutt all doors and test with your multi meter on an amp draw should be no more than 0.5amps mate
-
#11Where did you connect the live to? My battery kept draining initially because I hadn't connected the live wire tightly enough.
-
#12its like wedged in the clip it seems sturdy but there is no bolts i can attach to on that clip really? where have you put yours?
-
#13Yeah I found that to so connected it to one of the bolts inside the little black power box next to the bonnet support bracket. Would be careful if you are running big power but I would imagine that up to 1000W peak should be ok.
Just make sure you tighten the bolt back up properly as not doing this reSulted in a couple of flat batteries for me.
Hope you get it sorted. I'm sure there is threads on here somewhere that better describe where to get the power.
