How to go about refurbing these little chips?

Recently i bought these. I was cleaning my car last week and noticed these nasty stone chips.

Any idea how i'd go about touching up the area. I bought these wheels new, referbed in MINT condition.

The guy used Simoniz gloss black paint.

    Thanks

Best way to do it mate is to get some gloss black paint and go to hobbycraft and buy a soft fine brush. Clean the area with spirit wipe to get rid of all the shite then slowly start to fill the chip with paint until its full. Leave the paint to dry fully then polish the area up with some polish then wax and seal your wheels.

Its never going to look perfect but if you take your time it will look pretty good.

They are quite deep, all the way back to the alloy.

The wheel has 3 coats of laqure on too.

thats the only way to do it really mate unless you want to sand them all back and smooth out the chips and re paint them. Thats the only trouble with aerosols they are nowhere near as hard as 2 pack paint sprayed out of a gun.

Can i sand the area on the wheel back with very fine paper then spray it in/ blend it in? (using filler to sill the stone chips)

    Thanks

You can try mate if you sand it down with 200 grit or a grey scotch and rub the chip with 600 wet and dry you should be able to feather it in. But chances are it will react because simonize aerosol is shite and nasty.

For the size of the chips i would just touch them in you wont notice them once black.

Do it properly, DA the whole wheel back, and repaint them!

    Just get a black marker.

No one is going to look that close
