Engine tapping

   Recently my engine has been quite tappety and loud, what could be causing this or what could i do to prevent this??
   
   I've already had the tappets adjusted to what they should be, checked there's plenty of oil etc... Is there anything else I could be doing??

   Listen to where its comming from, should be able to tell if its the top or bottom end..
   Good service could do it, oil starvetion??? you sure you've done the tappets right???
   You must do it with the engine as hot as possible. Check timing, it only takes 2 secs... there is a start.

   Yeah plenty of oil and my mate that works in a garage did tappets but it definitely sounds like the tappets are noisy still

   I've heard people say the tappets are still noisy at manufacturers recommendations so they adjust them slightly differently but don't take my word on it lol just a suggestion

   Cheers mate it's going into the garage tomorrow anyway might get them to have a quick look over it.
